Months has passed, about six to be exact. Preston and I have become a hot item. He takes me to the finest places to eat. I ain’t talking about regular places either. We travel, a lot. I don’t miss Rock City or the mutha fuckas that work there. Even RedBone got her ass out of there. She and her man live in Florida now. He has a club down there and she is the featured act. Preston takes me to his house in California often. It is out-fucking-rageous. It has the biggest pool and is tucked away in Pelican Hills. He has even taken my kids when we record in his studio in LA.

The single ‘Tease me’ is being released this weekend to see how it does. He has contacted some of his friends at the radio stations in LA, Detroit, and New York. I’m nervous and excited because I haven’t sang for anybody since I was in that group. I have a release/listening party this Friday at his house in Pelican Hills. Every person that is signed to their label will be there and more. Celebrities, athletes, and any of the other elite that Preston knows will be there. I have to perform ‘Tease Me’ for them.

“Are you ready for the party babe?”

“Yes. I’ve been practicing the song like you asked me too. “Donna…” The vocal coach that he hired so that I could sing live and sound amazing. “Gave me some great tips on how to calm my nerves.”

“That’s what I pay her ass for.” He presses his lips together. I notice that he is a little on edge tonight. I walk across the shiny stark white floor to where he is sitting. My short silk robe flaps behind me displaying the cream VS lace bra and thong set that he loves.

I place my hand on his back and begin to massage. He tenses up immediately. “What’s wrong baby. Why are you so angry today?” he lifts my hands from his shoulders and pulls me around to sit on his lap. He rubs my ass with one hand and my breasts with the other.

“I have to drop an artist today. She is a rapper named De-lite-ful. I discovered her in the Bronx and the label says that she is living recklessly. She is bad for our image. I really liked her.”

“What did she do?”

“She is a real thug about her shit. She got arrested and beat a girl up so bad that she was hospitalized.”

“What about her contract?”

“What about it? We put a clause in it. If an artist tries to fuck up the label’s image, they get cut with no royalties or severance. They only get what they made while they were signed. Everything after that is ours.”

“Wow Preston. That’s some bullshit.” I look into his intense hazel colored eyes.

“It’s not my fault that she didn’t get a lawyer to look over the contract.” He shrugs and kisses my back.

“I didn’t get a lawyer either Preston. She probably thought that she was going to get taken care of by someone that said, ‘trust me’.
